WATCH: Knicks’ Danilo Gallinari Throws Down A Reverse Slam

New York Knicks‘ forward Danilo Gallinari threw down a thunderous reverse dunk against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night that brought a sell-out Madison Square Garden crowd to its feet.

The dunk was part of an explosive third quarter for Gallinari. He scored 11 points (including a pretty left hander against Paul Pierce) after going scoreless in the first half. The Knicks, who are riding an eight game win streak, are currently leading 90-83 at the end of the third quarter.

The Celtics, meanwhile, are in the midst of a ten game win streak.

As for the play in question: Gallinari drove past a backpedaling Pierce and went baseline. Before help could arrive, he was putting down the reverse dunk, and Knicks PA announcer Mike Walczewski was saying his name in a stereotypical, old-timey Italian accent.
