If The Heat Lose To The Pacers, You Will See This Video Of Dwyane Wade And Erik Spoelstra Arguing All Offseason

It was not a good night for the Miami Heat. They lost to the Pacers 94-75, they’re down 2-1 to the Pacers in the Eastern Conference semifinals, they got mocked by an opponent, and there’s still no word on when Chris Bosh might come back. What just a few days ago was looking like an excellent chance at a title is now very much in doubt.

And there can be no one feeling worse about it than Dwyane Wade. Wade had one the worst games of his career last night, producing just five points (and five turnovers) on 2-for-13 shooting. When you have a game that bad, you get frustrated, and also your coach probably isn’t thrilled with you. And when a not-thrilled coach and frustrated you interact, the result is this:

…which doesn’t do a bad job summing up the Heat’s night. (For the record, Wade reportedly told his coach to get out of his bleeping face.) Long-term? Probably not a big deal. Frustrations boil over from time to time, especially when you have a night like the Heat – and Wade in particular – did last night.

But the long term isn’t on anyone’s mind right now. The playoffs are all about getting hot in the short term, and if the Heat go cold twice more, we all better get ready for an offseason where the above clip gets played all the time while everyone wonders whether Spoelstra is the right fit for this team and whether the Bosh-Wade-James trio was the worst idea ever. Doesn’t sound like too much fun to us. To the Heat? Why, the thought of facing all those “Can they win it all?” questions for another year must sound so bad they they could get… exactly as mad as Wade got last night.
