WATCH: Dwyane Wade Appears On Jimmy Kimmel, Gets Ribbed For Alleged Tampering
Dwyane Wade appeared on Jimmy Kimmel last night and answered questions about his new teammates, LeBron James and Chris Bosh. Namely, how they ended up playing for the Miami Heat.
When Wade said the free agent coup was all Pat Riley’s doing, Kimmel asked him, jokingly, “So you’re saying Pat Riley was contract tampering?”
Following an awkward pause and uncomfortable laugh, Wade answered, “Nope.”
Kimmel reponded, “Different Pat Riley, then.”
This was after Kimmel introduced him as “the greatest general manager in NBA history.”
The rest of the interview, however, was relaxed and Kimmel-like (sample question:”are you and [LeBron] going to be living in the same house together?”). When asked if other NBA players had contacted him to try to get on the team, Wade said he had gotten a lot of messages but with no signatures.
“I get texts from players, but they don’t leave their name. Who is this?”
My money is on a shy Penny Hardaway, who probably doesn’t know that Wade deleted his number in 2007. Watch video of the interview here:
