Something Tells Us That ESPN Was Excited About Tonight’s Jeremy Lin-Miami Heat Matchup

Of course, plenty of people were excited about the Jeremy Lin-Miami Heat matchup tonight, so it’s not as if we’re picking on ESPN here. But, wow, they really went all-in on the Jeremy Lin headlines on their NBA homepage this afternoon. You would think that this was Game 7 of the NBA Finals, or something.

We might have to call this the “ESPN overload jinx,” seeing as Lin struggled mightily tonight against the Heat. He shot just 1-of-11 from the floor, finishing the game with eight points, six assists, three rebounds and eight turnovers in 34 minutes. You have to imagine, though, that even as he struggled in a losing effort against the Heat, the Lin-sanity likely won’t be cooling down anytime soon. Not when the Asian American Journalist Association are giving out guidelines on how to appropriately cover the Knicks point guard. It’s only just the beg-Lin-ning. OK, that one was bad.
