Kenneth Faried Is No Longer Having Much Fun In Summer League

The Nuggets forward known as the Manimal was minding his own business, playing some Summer League ball, when he took a shot to the face off a loose rebound. That, coupled with Reggie Miller’s commentary, makes this video tough to watch.

There’s been some good buzz around the second-year man Kenneth Faried this summer. He’s been playing well and having fun doing it. Well, nothing like getting busted in the nose to turn a smile into a bloody frown. And when it’s an inadvertent smack from a teammate? There’s nothing worse than that.

Also, in what we in the business like to call “perfect timing,” Reggie Miller was on the call to say how much he loved Summer League ball, just as Faried took the shot to the face. Nice going Reggie.

That’s a lot of blood — and Faried needed three stitches to patch his face up. Drinks are on Quincy Miller, eh?
