If Kevin Durant Can Act Half As Well As He Can Ball, He’s On His Way To An Oscar

When Kevin Durant isn’t winning three straight scoring titles and leading his team to the NBA Finals, he’s on the set of Thunderstruck, the 23-year old’s film debut that’s slated to hit theaters later this year. From this preview, we gather the plot is that some kid inherits Durant’s ability to ball through some sort of electric, basketball transfer-thingy.

Umm, hello Warner Bros., you did the same exact thing in Space Jam? The part when Monstars absorb the NBA players’ talent from the ball? Well, Space Jam was the best movie ever, so I guess I can sort of understand dipping into that well. Still, unless Kevin Durant puts in a Ray Allen-in-He Got Game-level effort, I’m spending zero dollars to see this movie. See the trailer below.
