Kevin McHale Makes Fun Of His Own Record As GM When Introduced As Rockets Coach

Kevin McHale is one of the greatest and most accomplished power forwards in the history of the NBA. He’s regarded as one of the better coaches in the league as well, but his track record as general manager of the Minnesota Timberwolves sullied that distinction.

He’s well aware of it – he pokes fun at himself in this video (as others have before). In his introductory press conference as the new coach of the Houston Rockets, he was reminded by a reporter (in case he didn’t know about the parameters of the job before taking it) that he’d have far less input on personnel decisions.  McHale responded, “Yeah, that’s… good.”
