Charles Barkley has hated on the city of San Antonio quite often. And, as is the style of the city of San Antonio, Greg Popovich and Tim Duncan, the only counterattack they mounted was winning basketball games. Well, no more passivity. San Antonio mayor Julian Castro reciprocated on YouTube, all while wearing four championship rings.

Besides extolling the virtues of San Antonio as a city, he fires a few retaliatory projectiles at Barkley, including a brief cameo of Chuck in drag and his notorious golf swing. But the best part of the video comes halfway through when Castro, emanating a touch of smug bravado, flashes the rings and casually reminds Barkley that his fingers remain bare. We happily await Chuck’s response when the Western Conference Finals gets underway tomorrow night.
