Uh-Oh: Kobe Bryant’s Wife Filed For Divorce, And He Doesn’t Have A Prenup

Citing “irreconcilable differences,” Kobe Bryant‘s wife filed for divorce on Friday afternoon. According to TMZ, Kobe and Vanessa Bryant don’t have a prenuptial agreement — meaning Vanessa is entitled to half of Kobe’s net worth. According to CNBC’s Darren Rovell, that net worth is somewhere in the ballpark of $360 million.

Oof.

According to TMZ, Kobe was repeatedly unfaithful to his wife, which is what’s causing their 10 1/2 year marriage to end. The Bryants released a joint statement, saying they ”have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012.”

The Bryants have two daughters together (8-year-old Natalia and 5-year-old Gianna), and the soon-to-be-former Mrs. Bryant is asking for joint custody.

As you would expect, Kobe’s not particularly happy right now. TMZ has an entire, morbid gallery of Kobe sad faces, and he’s been pretty snippy (even more so than usual) in recent interviews.
