LeBron’s Latest Image Rehab: Pose For A Wedding Photo With A Random Couple

LeBron James finally won an NBA championship, and since he has a bit of free time these days he can do more fun stuff, like crash the wedding (or pre-wedding, rather) of a couple of avid Miami Heat fans. He happened to have an interview in the same hotel as the wedding party, and when the bride and groom stopped him for a picture he obliged. How great is this:

Nothing like the sudden, unexpected appearance of a 6-foot-8 local hero to make you feel short on your wedding day/forget silly traditions like barring the groom from seeing the bride before the wedding. Plus, the couple got to thank James in person for ensuring that their wedding guests actually showed up:

The newlyweds, who met at the University of Texas-Austin, have even more reason to cheer King James. Not only did he deliver an NBA title to the avid Miami fans in the wedding party — many of whom attended the game Thursday night while the others watched in the hotel bar — but by winning the Finals in 5 games, he ensured the Kolnicks’ guests wouldn’t be bailing on the Saturday evening service to watch a possible Game 6.

“We were actually terrified [the final game] would be on our wedding day,” Kolnick said. “And no one would come!”

Leaving aside the fact that this couple should maybe look into getting better friends, this is pretty lovely. Add this to the post-championship goodwill that LeBron will probably squander within the first fifteen minutes of his sit-down with Oprah.
