Miami’s 2006 Finals series with Dallas was notorious for its questionable officiating. Their 2011 rematch, meanwhile, has seen relatively little outcry over the refs, and the players themselves have been allowed to determine (either by action or inaction) the outcome of each game.
Still, the refs are human. They make mistakes. Sometimes, they make mistakes that cause former coaches and current broadcasters to burst out in laughter during a live telecast. Such was the case last night, when Jeff Van Gundy could barely contain his amusement at this non-call on the Heat’s Dwyane Wade.
