Video: Obama Gives USA Basketball A Pep Talk Before They Go To London

When I saw that President Obama was attending the USA v. Brazil exhibition game the other night, all I thought of was Obama walking through the locker room at halftime and just going, “Brazil? Brazil? Really?”

Well, my dreams were dashed when Sports Illustrated brought us this video of how Obama’s halftime visit to the locker room actually went. There are a couple of things to really appreciate about this video. The first is every player standing up and showing their respect to the President.

Next is Obama hugging LeBron, saying, “What’s up, champ?” followed by LeBron saying, “What’s up, baby?” You’re completely fooling yourself if your ultimate dream isn’t to be part of a friendship trio consisting of yourself, Obama, and LeBron.

Obama making fun of Anthony Davis is also hilarious. Obama fills out a March Madness bracket every year, and had Kentucky in the finals in 2012. Guy knows his stuff. He also knows a little about basketball ethics. “What are y’all doing with this rookie? Is he carrying the bags and stuff?”

Also, catch Kobe Bryant jumping around at the 30 second mark like a kid in a candy store. Have you ever seen an NBA player so giddy at the sight of another human being? It just tells you how much the President’s visit meant.

“this guy knows his stuff” …..sure cause NOBODY had Kentucky going to the finals….give me a break.

Honestly,  I have NO PROBLEM with Obama going to basketball games and even getting put on the kissing cam  by the local arena.  The more time he is doing that, the less time he is  putting his hands on our economy issues and making it worst.
