Rajon Rondo Graduated From The Ben Roethlisberger School Of Hats, Apparently

After losing to the Denver Broncos in the wild card round of the AFC playoffs, Ben Roethlisberger wore this hat, leading to football fans the world over wondering why the hell he would wear that hat. The Celtics’ Rajon Rondo, though, apparently thought Big Ben was onto something. After last night’s win over the Raptors, in which Rondo played exceptionally well but eventually left with an injury, he looked like this:

OK, not exactly the same (the fact that the hat is just straight black is an important difference), but the same idea. To get a better idea of whether Rondo actually pulled this look off any better than Roethlisberger (our opinion was that in both cases, the hat choice was more…odd than anything, we asked Julia Rubin, beauty and features editor of our sister site Styleite, if Rondo was making a horrible mistake here. The verdict? “Always a horrible mistake” – well, a horrible mistake, that is, “unless you’re Frank Sinatra.” Alas, cool as Rondo might be, our research indicates he is not Frank Sinatra.
