Rajon Rondo Took A Fantastic, Not-So-Subtle Shot At The Heat During Halftime

During halftime of Boston’s eventual 93-91 overtime win over Miami last night, ESPN’s Doris Burke grabbed Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo for a quick interview. And Rondo, who was on his way to a 15-point, 15-assist, five-rebound night, would make sure his stat line also included a jab at his playoff opponents.
Asked by Burke what holes he was exploiting in the Heat defense, Rondo answered: “Them complaining and crying to the referees in transition.” Well, then.
We already knew we had a series — Boston’s win Sunday tied things up at two games apiece — but Rondo’s comments now make things even more interesting heading to Miami for Game 5. We’ll see if Miami responds to his accusations of crybabying in the press, or if they do what they did in the Indiana series and do the majority of their responding on the parquet. Here’s video of Rondo’s jab, via Hardwood Paroxysm.
