Ron Artest Reenacts Psychiatric Session Prior To Game 7
If you were wondering how–if, at all–Ron Artest’s psychiatrist had been helping him throughout the course of the playoffs, Ron-Ron graciously offered us some insight last night, airing a ‘reenactment’ of his pre-Game 7 psychiatric session on George Lopez’ Lopez Tonight.
The skit, which cast Helen Mirren as his therapist, presents Artest as lying on his psychiatrist’s couch on the morning of Game 7, brainstorming about how he will get himself mentally ready for the deciding game.
And, amazingly, much like Artest’s single “Champions,” which dropped earlier this week (Artest shouts out his album in the skit and can be seen listening to “Champions”), the skit was better than expected.
It may be a little premature to dub Artest “Ron Artist,” but we were certainly amused when Artest, asked how he will feel when Kobe passes him the ball, responds:
“I’m gonna feel like I’m being punk’d because Kobe never passes the ball.”
Here’s the video of Ron-Ron’s “psychiatry session”:
