Derrick Rose In Video To Fans: “I Should Be Back On The Court Soon”

It’s been nearly three months since Derrick Rose tore his ACL in a Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the Philadelphia 76ers, but today, Rose posted a video to YouTube addressing his fans. While Rose is expected to miss the beginning of the season, Rose said he has been going to therapy “every day,” and expects to be back on the court soon.
Chicago used a first round draft pick to select Marquis Teague from Kentucky, presumably to fill Rose’s starting role until the former MVP is able to return. Rose’s recovery was expected to take 8-12 months, meaning he wouldn’t be available until at least after the All-Star break. But according to Rose, his recovery is progressing.
