“Fluent Russian” A Job Requirement For NJ Nets Executive Assistants
If you want to be Mikhail Prokhorov‘s executive assistant, you need to be “fluent in speaking and writing both English and Russian,” according to a job posting on NBAteamjobs.com.
This probably isn’t much of a surprise, considering the level of communication required between an executive and his assistant at that level – there would probably be so much scheduling and taking calls from other eccentric Russian billionaires that it probably would be easier if the assistant spoke Prokhorov’s native tongue.
Still, it’s yet another funny reminder of the Russianization of the New Jersey Nets. Here’s a snippet of the job application, emphasis added:
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be fluent in speaking and writing both English and Russian.
- Undergraduate Degree.
- At least 2 years of Executive Assistant experience.
- Strong Excel Skills, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word software.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of energy.
- Professional appearance.
спасибо to one of our eagle-eyed tipsters for pointing this one out.
