Saturday Night Blake Show: Lob City Lobs And CP3 Wizardry

Sometimes, the threat of an alley-oop in Lob City is enough to get your opponents on the defensive. Just ask the Utah Jazz, who fell to the Clippers 105-96 in Los Angeles on Saturday night, and also fell victim to this nifty little CP3 breakaway.

Indeed, one of the best things about the Clippers’ ability to constantly throw it down is the indecision it creates for the defense: the Jazz are so worried about a trailing Blake Griffin on this play, that Chris Paul is able to go in for an easy lay-up (after he dribbles in between his legs, of course.)

The threat of a lob isn’t good unless you actually lob it in, though. Which is exactly what Randy Foye did with Blake Griffin in the third quarter.
