VIDEO: Rajon Rondo Tries To Infiltrate The Miami Heat’s Huddle

Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo tried to infiltrate the Miami Heat‘s huddle during the third quarter of his team’s 85-82 win on Sunday, and was summarily pushed away by LeBron James and the rest of the Heat.

The bizarre sequence occurred while the Heat held a short huddle along their sideline. As Heat coach Erik Spoelstra talked to his team (and possibly drew up a play), Rondo came over, seemingly to get a peak at what the Heat were up to.

The best comparison I can make: imagine a group of older kids found one of their dad’s Playboys, and huddled around to look at it. One of their younger brothers comes along, and wants to see what they’re all gawking at, but is repeatedly swatted away by the much bigger kids. This is what that looked like.

“If you walk over to somebody else’s backyard, they should be able to do what they want to you,” ABC analyst Jeff Van Gundy said. “You can’t just walk into somebody’s backyard like that, like looking in the huddle.”

Fellow analyst Mark Jackson disagreed, noting that it wasn’t during a timeout.

“I like what Rondo’s doing,” Jackson said.
