Vince Carter Didn’t Mind Those Beer Drinking Dudes Sitting On The Mavericks’ Bench

Remember these random beer drinking dudes sitting next to Vince Carter on the Dallas Mavericks’ bench from the other night? Of course you do. Well, Carter finally spoke out and addressed the issue. And, according to Vince, they were pretty chill bros.

As it turned out, the chill bros in question were identified as fashion designer Aaron Cohen and his sidekick Chris Smokes. I can’t say I know all that much about their body of work, but Carter said of the duo, “They were cool.” Not a bad endorsement. Actually, having this happen will probably be good for their careers.

He then went on to explain how Team Chill Bro ended up sitting “on the Mavericks bench.” Carter told The Dallas Morning News, “I just didn’t have enough room to sit so I went on the other side of them. That happens sometimes. They were good dudes. That was where their seats were, so it wasn’t any big deal. But I have to admit, it looked funny when I saw the video.” Indeed it did.

Really, when you put it that way the whole story doesn’t seem all that strange. Especially when you consider the context, as the Mavs were blowing out the Detroit Pistons and there was nothing left to do but wait for the final buzzer. Might as well enjoy the company you keep, no?
