LeBron James Had A Very Bad Game Last Night, And The Media Wolves Are Circling

LeBron James had a bad game last night. A terrible one, actually. He scored eight points (eight!), but the most telling number on his line was 11, as in: he only took 11 shots over four quarters. Regardless of how well he played defense, that’s too low of a number for the game’s best player.

Not surprisingly, the media noticed. And they are taking it pretty seriously. The history of Miami’s Game 4 loss to the Mavericks has been written, and it is not kind to LeBron James: he is a shrinking violet, and is falling into another one of his little spells, last seen during his 2010 playoff series against the Celtics. He is a psychological weakling, in the midst of a slump. He is a coward.

Leading the charge is, not surprisingly, Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, who paints the admittedly hilarious picture of James’ nervous entourage witnessing the the collapse of their multimillion dollar brand right before their money-grubbing eyes.

All around LeBron, his minions marched out of this 86-83 loss with uneasy glances and an unraveling global commodity.

Surprisingly, the world economy is still intact this morning, despite James’ 27.3% from the field. And, despite James’ earth-shattering terribleness (he had 9 rebounds and 7 assists by the way), the Heat are tied with with the Mavericks, 2-2. He is the worst player in the world right now, and even worse, he is disappearing right before our very eyes. But as you can see, all it takes to write history is one game.
