10 Amazingly-Named College Football Recruits

There are 120 NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision programs, and each year, all of those schools sign incoming recruiting classes, generally of at least 20 players. And in that overall crop of 2,500 or so high schoolers, there are bound to be some interesting names.

This year was no exception, and with spring practice currently starting back up for some programs (and some of those incoming freshmen already in action), we thought it was time to comb through the list and pick 10 of our favorite names of the class of 2011. Without further ado, here they are.

1.Godspower Offor

We preferred it back when it was still getting spelled "God's Power," but it's still a fine one nonetheless. (Wake Forest)

2.Sterling Lovelady

Isn't that everyone's favorite kind of lady, really? (Florida State)

3.Steven Stevens

So simple - and yet I lol'd. (Arkansas State)

4.Wonderful Terrific Monds II

Believe it or not, he's just one in "a line of athletes" with that name. (Buffalo)

5.Chris Rock

What?! He's PLAYING FOOTBALL now?! ...Oh. (Michigan)

6.Shutang Mungwa

Not a whole lot to add to this one, except that it just has a ring to it you can't ignore. (Syracuse)

7.Harley Scioneaux

This guy has not one, but two vehicles in his name - and vehicles with cool-sounding names, at that. (Louisiana-Monroe)

8.London Muse

Wouldn't we all love to have London muse, really? Travel to London, get inspiration - that sounds like the life. (Wyoming)

9.Silverberry Mouhon

But wait, silver is practically the only color berries aren't! (Cincinnati)

10.Philander Moore

Well, you know, at least he's upfront about it. (Ole Miss)

Leviticus appears to be class of 2012, and this list was limited to those who signed last month. He should be a strong contender for lists like this next year, though.
