An Errant Gatorade Bath Drenched ESPN’s Erin Andrews Saturday Night

As you probably know, Baylor upset Oklahoma last night to earn one of the biggest wins in program history. As you know if you’ve been reading our site today (and if not, shame on you), one especially devoted Baylor fan let nothing stand in the way of celebrating the victory. And as you also know if you follow college football, Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin is one of the best players in the nation. He accounted for a mind-boggling 551 yards of total offense (even if some of that came on a fluky play), and further cemented his status as one of the best players Baylor’s ever had.

So it makes sense that after the win, someone wanted to douse him with Gatorade in traditional big-win-celebrating fashion. So someone did…or tried to. Because while the shower-er might have been aiming for Griffin, they got a lot more of it on ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews instead…

An additional shoutout to Baylor associate athletic director for communications Heath Nielsen, who may well have gotten the worst of it. And though apparently her phone paid the price, Andrews took it quite well. We’d definitely be less hesitant about dumping Gatorade on her than, say, Nick Saban.
