The Video Where A Fox Sports Reporter Invites You To Laugh At Asians Has Mysteriously Disappeared
Fox Sports’ Bob Oschack hit USC’s campus recently with a simple mission: get USC students to welcome the school’s newest conference rivals, Colorado and Utah, to the Pac-12. But he wasn’t going to get just any students to do it – he was going to get students who might not be big sports fans (and therefore nerds), and therefore be uncomfortable with the Pac-12 greeting. But these couldn’t be just any hilarious nerds Oschack would make squirm: no, specifically, he’d be targeting Asian nerds. That way, we’re able to laugh at the kids for being uncomfortable, and their hilarious accents!
“Hmm,” you say. “That sounds like it’s about on the comedic level of Ow My Balls!” How wrong you are. For the scintillating results produced by Oschack and team, see below. Well, originally we were going to show the video below, but it seems that for some unknown reason Fox has taken the video down. Instead, you can see the cutting-edge comedy produced by Oschack right here.
“Good old-fashioned All-American welcome!” LOL! Get it?! Those ain’t Americans – they’re Asians! “But what if that wasn’t the intent at all?” you ask. “What if it was just a coincidence that the students were all Asians?” Fear not: according to College Board, USC’s student body is 25 percent Asian. Oschack asked five different students – all Asians, of course – to record the greeting. If Oschack had truly tried to get a random sample of USC’s student body, there’s about a 0.1 percent chance he would have come up with five Asians.
And we’re glad, because if the point wasn’t to laugh at Asians, then where’s the comedy?! A good-natured segment where he tries to stoke the rivalry flames by getting random students to talk some trash about their new rivals, instead of chasing cheap laughs by mocking something that’s different? Boooooooo-ring! Thankfully, Oschack went with the far better option. But we shouldn’t be surprised by that – after all, the guy wrote for Mind of Mencia. We think he knows what he’s doing.
