Laughter and smiles can be signs of nervousness and discomfort. I’m also betting that, like many child molesters, Sandusky is emotionally immature and isn’t reacting like an adult would.

Wonder if that’s the same smile and smirk on his face when he molested young boys?

I wonder if he will have the same smile on his face when he is sentenced to life in prison and is continually raped by his fellow innmates!

The popular and mistaken conception “innocent till proven guilty” only applies to the judge and jury.

When nothing happened, he should have went to the FBI, and then told the University: ” Either he goes, or I go”.  From all accounts, and probably yours as well,  he was a pretty powerful person and probably could have persuaded SOMEONE to do something about this. I respect judge no man until he is tried but the evidence that they University had to let him go speaks volumes, on top of that just the victims stories that have gone public, leaves little doubt that there is some gross negligence in crossing the line into a youngsters. A grad assistant busted Sandusky in mid-stroke
When he was givin’ an at risk youngster a poke.
He reported it to Joe Pa,

Then, next day, passed it to the A.D. as a joke.

The sodomy rape report got kicked up the chain
To President Spanier who tried to contain
This man-boy sex scandal
By asking Sandusky to handle
His consensual boy rogerings in some other domain.

CUF, you know I hardly ever agree with you, but your material is on the mark this time. Your limericks aren’t all that bad, but you really need to work on the cadence.

Oh how I agree on cadence. My pure limericks are always perfect, but the news-story limericks often expand the accepted rule on beat to the limit of ten, and are then forced to mix with shorter beat stanzas within the poem.

First, Tell the Tale….quickly, then perfect the meter, if possible.

Remember, the “art” of what I do is to get the limerick out as the story hits the press. To wait for perfection in meter is to poetize a historic, rather than a news event, in today’s news cycle.

Paterno axed Sandusky from the football program in ’99.

The incident Paterno was told about — without the specifics — was reported by him to the University Administration and Police.  Sandusky had been OUT of the football program for 3 years at that point.
