Mike Tirico Fawns Over The Majesty of Kirk Cousins, Twitter Snark Follows

The Outback Bowl in Tampa is gave us lots of free football today, with Michigan State-Georgia finally ending when the Spartans blocked a field goal attempt in the bottom half of the third OT. Whether or not he was on the field, though, the hero of the game just may be senior Spartans QB Kirk Cousins, who was the recipient of many a tongue bath from the off duty Monday Night Football team calling the game. Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden just love them some Kirk Cousins, and perhaps the best example was this moment from earlier (from CJ Fogler):

If only that were it. You see, thanks to the fawning over the dreamy quarterback, the Twitterverse just couldn’t help but put Kirk Cousins’ Leadership on the same level as Chuck Norris:

Ah, Twitter snark. Although Kirk Cousins is certainly the one laughing: not only was he able to help the Spartans get the victory, he’ll leave Michigan State as the all-time passing leader – and on the winningest class in school history.
