One Delusional Jerry Sandusky Believes NCAA Sanctions On Penn State Are Too Harsh

Jerry Sandusky must be bored waiting for his prison sentence. To pass the time before he gets sentenced to five consecutive life sentences or 420 years in prison or something ridiculous like that, he just wanted to tell the world he thinks Penn State is paying too high a price for his transgressions.

Sandusky’s attorney Joe Amendola told the Associated Press that his client is distraught over the penalties leveled to Penn State as a result of the child sex abuse scandal. According to the AP:

“He said, ‘To do what they’re doing to Penn State is so unjust,’” Amendola said. “He loves the program and he loves the university.”

“He continues to believe that the truth will come out at some point, and that he’ll get another trial or another opportunity to establish his innocence,” Amendola said.

Amendola also added that it would be “ridiculous” to think Penn State brass partook in a cover-up. At this point, I’m guessing it’s not in Joe Amendola’s best interest to use his client’s actions as excuse to make Paterno and Co. out to be martyrs, nor is it Sandusky’s place to be buying into such rhetoric.

Sandusky might just have to get over the fact that he and his heinous actions led to the downfall of his former program, though it’s hard to imagine why he’s concerned himself over the future of Penn State. You’d think a guy convicted on 45 counts of sex abuse, currently awaiting his prison sentence might have other things on his mind.

Regardless, we’d do right by ourselves not to pay any mind to whatever thoughts Jerry Sandusky has on the consequences of his actions or the future of Penn State.
