Today In “Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders Turned Baseball Fiancés”

This is Ann Lux, a former Cowboys cheerleader and soon-to-be-wife of Red Sox upstart Will Middlebrooks. Middlebrooks is filling in at third base for an injured Kevin Youkilis, and he’s done an admirable job: he’s batting .304 with four homers, 13 RBI, nine runs and five doubles since he was called up.

Unfortunately, in a move that will surely raise a few eyebrows in Boston, the young gunner will be demoted back down to Triple A once Youkilis (who hasn’t had the best start to his season) returns. It’s not all bad for the 23-year-old, though.

Exhibit A: Lux, who he’ll be marrying in December, and who he’s known since he was 12. According to the team at Busted Coverage, Lux gave up her career as a Cowboys cheerleader to be with Middlebrooks, which, off the bat, screams “loyalty.” And even though he’s going back to the minors, we have a feeling these crazy kids will be just fine.
