When SportsCenter Carries Live Coverage Of The Jets Training Camp, Bart Scott Gets “Rubbed Out A Little Bit”
If you’ve tuned into SportsCenter recently, you may have thought the Jets were the first and only NFL team to open up training camp. SC has devoted a lot of coverage to Gang Green’s practices (call it Tebow-centric, call it whatever you want) as all 32 NFL teams prepare for the 2012 season to kick off.
The coverage has been kind of strange. There’s only so much you can say about Tim Tebow working on his footwork. About Mark Sanchez being the Jets “number one quarterback.” And about Darrelle Revis potentially holding out, and about Antonio Cromartie calling himself the Jets’ second best receiver.
But with this much coverage, there was bound to be an interesting moment somewhere. Enter Bart Scott (at about the 20-second mark below) getting worked on by a trainer, and Sal Paolantonio describing that work in… unfortunate terms:
“Rubbed it out a little bit.” I’m sure the entire time Scott was screaming “CAN’T WAIT!”
