Bill Belichick Had A Party In His Pants For Warren Sapp At The 1995 Combine

There will never be enough fodder for us to talk about from the Warren Sapp book tour, so in the interest of keeping all you Sapp-o-philes in the know, here’s another bit that might excite you — much like the way Sapp himself excited then-Browns head coach Bill Belichick at the 1995 NFL combine. Belichick had a Ron Burgundy-style erection for Sapp, the NFL prospect. And according to Sapp, it wasn’t because of the pattern on Bill’s pants.

Listen to this excerpt from Sapp’s appearance on the Scott Van Pelt show on ESPN radio, and scroll to roughly 1:00 and change to hear Sapp talk about Bill Belichick’s penis:

“He said, ‘I want to draft you so bad that I have an erection right now.’ I’m like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ He said, ‘But Mike Lombardi will not let me draft you.’ I’m like, ‘Come onnn.’ He’s like, ‘I just wanna let you know, it’s not on me. I want you in Cleveland.’”

There you have it folks, Bill Belichick was harder watching Sapp than his perpetual closed-door attitude towards the media. It’s a funny story, but more importantly, now we know the key to accessing Bill’s more emotional, animated side: putting him in front of 350-pound men and watch them press up against other men. Next time you find yourself perturbed during another one of his droll press conferences, always remember this story about his penis.
