Patriots Receiver Julian Edelman Allegedly Reached Under A Woman’s Halloween Costume And Groped Her

Patriots receiver Julian Edelman is getting arraigned today on charges of indecent assault and battery on a woman, after he allegedly reached under a woman’s Halloween costume at a Boston night club and groped her.

The incident happened some time around 1:30AM this morning, at the Storyville nightclub in Boston’s Back Bay. Police were called to the scene after Edelman, a man, and a woman were thrown out by bouncers. Once there, the police were told that Edelman had caused the ejection with some extremely creepy behavior:

In a report on the case, Boston police said Edelman was inside the nightclub on Halloween night when he allegedly reached underneath the woman’s costume and groped her below the waist.

A man who was with the woman told police that a man – later identified as Edelman – bumped into the woman on the dance floor. “He saw the victim’s face change into an expression of shock,’’ police said in the report.

The guy then confronted Edelman and “threatened to beat him up,’’ while the woman tried to calm him down. All three were ejected by bouncers in order to calm the situation.

Once police arrived, Edelman was identified by the man and woman. Edelman denied touching her, but he was booked on the assault and battery charges. He later posted bail and was released.

UPDATE: Someone tweeted a photo of Edelman last night from the Storyville, before the alleged incident took place. His Halloween costume? A cop.
