EA Sports Animated Eli Manning’s Sandwich Touchdown Celebration From SNL

Remember that SNL sketch when Eli Manning hosted a couple weeks ago, where he went in for a motion capture session for Madden in which he was supposed to demonstrate his signature touchdown celebration, but wound up pantomiming making a sandwich, dropping the sandwich, then picking the sandwich back up and eating it when he makes sure no one’s looking? Well, it seems the folks at EA Sports took the liberty of actually turning that into a real animation – much to the delight of SNL writer Sarah Schneider:

Now just slap a No. 10 Giants jersey on that player and you’re set. Seriously, EA Sports: don’t let this work go to waste. Put it in the game, even if it’s just as some weird Easter egg. Sandwiching is the next big thing. We can feel it.
