ESPYs 2010: Peyton Manning Spoofs “The Blind Side,” Secures Record For Most Comedic Skits Ever By An Athlete
We’ve all said it at some point in our lives. Why the hell is Peyton Manning always on my television screen?
Well, despite any frustrations we may have developed over the years from our overexposure to Peyton, the reality is this:
He’s actually become pretty good on camera.
This was made very clear during the ESPY Awards last night, where, for the second consecutive year, Manning starred in his own comedy skit (a trailer for a fake film called “The Dark Side,” which, naturally, was a spoof on last year’s hit “The Blind Side”). It’s hard to argue that we can take the ESPY Awards at face value for a real awards show–Andy Sandberg was dressed up as a giant octopus, after all. But, if its good for one Peyton Manning skit a year (and continued appearances by supermodels), we guess we’ll keep watching.
Here is “The Dark Side”:
