Ever Wonder How Much Richer NFL Players Are Than You? Time To Find Out

How many janitors would it take to match an NFL salary? Or how many presidents? And how many years of studying at Harvard would it buy? How about Caribbean cruises? How many hungry mouths could that money feed? And what if you had the salary of Peyton “Spaghetti-Neck” Manning? The answers to all these questions and more, on one handy page.

As we can see from this infographic, leaders of the free world and movie stars cower in the monetary shadow cast by the new Denver quarterback. But even compared to an average NFL salary of $1.9 million, most human beings — even the prestigious, “high-paid” ones — can’t come close to the kind of dough pro football players are raking in.

Reference this page the next time you think about how you quit the football team and became a dentist instead. Sucker.

Hey. Let’s compare, say, the average CEOs annual wage in the same manner. Or, hhmm…how ’bout doing the same with the sports franchise owner’s wages. Oh! Right. Sorry. Common people, workers, players ought not be allowed to make lots of money doing what they do for a living. Only the wealthy and well-connected are allowed to take ALL THE MONEY and leave the scraps for the dogs. Right! Sorry. Forgot.

Maybe the real comparison is the stupid prices we’re willing to pay for tickets, jerseys, cable TV etc.  These guys make this much money because we approve of it every time we drop $120 for a jersey, pay $30 for parking and $100 for a ticket for a crappy seat.  Compare those prices/costs to what we struggle to pay for on a daily basis (food, electricity, clothing etc.)  We’re getting gouged for little entertainment and somehow we think it’s worth it.
