We Doubt This Kid’s New Year’s Resolution Was “Get Tackled by A Packers Linebacker”

Snow and Lambeau Field are two things that, when combined, often make the perfect football scene. In many senses, it is the way that football in the upper midwest is intended to be played. In its majesty, it may bring back memories of some of your own backyard winter games: you can’t help but just want to get out there and join those players.

I mean, that has to be the explanation for what may go down as one of the more impressive feats of field streaking we’ve seen in the NFL this season.

Week 17 didn’t even bring out the starters for the Green Bay Packers as they hosted divisional rival Detroit Lions (Aaron Rodgers got the day off while back-up Matt Flynn put up a pretty magnificent stat line). That didn’t stop one kid from doing the reverse Lambeau Leap out of the bleachers and sprinting along the frozen tundra. The story didn’t end for this 15-year-old through the standard security guard and tasers treatment: he got a special taste of the turf courtesy of Packers linebacker Brad Jones.

Check the video below, and let this be a lesson to field stormers in the future: the players are wearing more pads than in baseball and they, too, are willing to tackle you.
