NFL 11 Meal Ideas For When You Pig Out While Watching Football This Weekend
Sundays aren’t just about football. They’re also about stuffing your face with all kinds of delicious food while you watch football. Alas, we know you’re too busy to give your game day meal the amount of planning it so richly deserves… so we figured we’d do that for you. With the season now in full swing, we’ll be presenting you with some remarkable game day meal ideas we’ve found across the internet (along with how to make them).
Some of these are old favorites. Some are new twists on time-honored game day snacks. All of them are sexy. Without further ado, here’s some food porn to get you ready for some football. For last week’s batch o’ food porn, click here.
1.1. Bacon Guacamole
If I have to explain to you why this is a good idea then you're not the type of person I want to associate with.
2.2. Garlic Truffle Fries
Garlic fries are now a staple in modern stadiums, but are extremely easy to make at home, plus they don't cost $9.50 for a large (damn you, Yankee Stadium). Serve as a side, or in a big bowl instead of chips.
3.3. Bang Bang Shrimp
Crispy. Saucy. Shrimpy. Bangy. One of the best Chinese food appetizers ever will only take you about a half hour to make.
4.4. Fried Chicken Bacon Sandwich
The photo you see here is of the
City Tavern in Culver City's Fried Chicken Candied Bacon Sandwich. And while we can't promise your version will be as pretty, we can promise you can't go wrong with fried chicken, bacon, and mayo. [Recipe]
5.5. Grilled Mini Spicy Pork Kabobs
Marinate these bad boys in the refrigerator overnight, then surprise the shit out of whoever comes over to your house. Because nothing makes people happier than surprises that involve kabobs.
6.6. Pulled Chicken Nachos
Emeril's pulled chicken recipe takes two hours, but if you can pull it off, you will give six lucky friends -- the amount this dish serves -- a little slice of awesome.

7.7. BBQ Potato Skins
This one takes an hour and a half, but most of that time is spent waiting for your delicious potatoes to be crispy after you've popped them in the oven, which is a nice little opportunity to set your fantasy lineups. Once they're out, the fun part happens: you fry up the skins and put bacon, sour cream, and BBQ sauce on them. [Recipe]
8.8. Short Rib Grilled Cheese Sandwich
The degree of difficulty on this one is high, but so is the payoff. Save this one for a group you want to impress (but try it out first on your bros).
9.9. Super Smokers Wings
We're going to have a new wing recipe in here every week, and the Super Smokers is a good ol' standby to start with. Sweet and tangy. And also: messy.
10.10. Beer of the Week: Ipswich Ale
A Massachusetts favorite, their 5 Mile Ales are all made with ingredients from within five miles of the brewery where they were made. Also: they'll get you loaded.

11.11. Dessert of the Week: Peanut Butter Smores Bar
Holy crap you've got to be kidding me. Only use this one if you want sexual favors from the people you're entertaining on Sunday.
