If You Are A Patriots Fan, Do You Want This Rob Gronkowski Madden Cover Campaign Video To Exist?

As NFL players like Peyton Hillis, Brett Favre, Troy Polamalu, Shaun Alexander, Michael Vick and Daunte Culpepper (among others) can tell you, being on the cover of the Madden NFL video game is both an honor and, well, a curse. So you have to wonder how Patriots fans are feeling about already-injured tight end Rob Gronkowski, who is campaigning strongly for the Madden ’13 cover in this crazy home video featuring the greater Gronk clan.
Like most curses, spells and other black magic, there is no such thing as a “Madden curse.” But it’s getting increasingly difficult to ignore that almost every player who appears on the cover (Polamalu apparently took the brunt of the curse for Larry Fitzgerald, who played well that year) is never the same again.
So how do Patriots fans feel about this? Are they looking to protect their record-setting tight end, and will look to NOT vote for him (or for receiver Wes Welker, for that matter)? Or do they hope Gronk, being the beast of a man that he is, will break the curse by finding a piano in a pond (a la Babe Ruth) or just not sucking/getting injured this year?
Also, how ridiculous is this video? The crutch-curls, the various Gronkowski brothers working out, the screaming, the grandma decor, the sunglasses… it’s certainly worthy of earning Gronk at least a first-round bye in the fan voting process.
