Hakeem Nicks Celebrates His 72-Yard Touchdown By Doing “The Dirty Bird”

New York Giants wideout Hakeem Nicks had a little “oh no he didn’t” moment late in the third quarter of this afternoon’s playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons.

After scoring on a 72-yard reception, in which about eight different Falcons defenders missed tackles, Nicks, whose touchdown gave the Giants a 17-2, broke out the old “Dirty Bird” celebratory touchdown dance. Of course, as you know, that particular end zone celebration was introduced to NFL fans back in 1998 by, yes, former Falcons running back Jamal Anderson. Here’s Nicks’ attempt at doing the “Dirty”:

Nicks may not have the dance down in the same way that Anderson did, but in this instance it was more about the intent and less about the execution. Still, he’s no Victor Cruz!
