“Holding?! That’s Not F—ing Holding!” Rams Lineman Makes Opinion Clear To Everyone

We see arguments with referees, on the part of both players and coaches, happen all the time. We might have an idea of what’s being said, but in general, we don’t get the full flavor of the back-and-forth. Today, by accident, we got a much more, um, detailed glimpse thanks to Rams offfensive lineman Harvey Dahl. Dahl was responding to what he thought was a faulty holding call. And if what he said wasn’t surprising, we still enjoyed it to no end:

So was that really much worse than what’s usually said in these types of arguments? Our lip-reading skills aren’t the world’s greatest, but we’ve at least seen coaches clearly swear up a storm when protesting calls – with no flag resulting – more times than we can count. So maybe the key difference was only that in this case, everyone heard it, thanks to the placement of the referee’s microphone. Really, we’re a bit amazed (and disappointed) this sort of thing doesn’t happen more often. The NFL ought to be good for a few of these Naked Gun moments a year, anyway. But we’ll take it.

Let’s see the play to see if ref did blow call on holding. The unsportmans can NOT be defended.

Regardless if ref missed first call or not, the second WAS the right call. Only a complete moron would try to defend the player’s action.
