The Jets-Bills Game Briefly Devolved Into A Hilarious Turnover-Fest
Turnovers are supposed to be big momentum-shifters in football games, so when the Jets picked off Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick late in the first half today, it looked like the Jets might be able to take control of the game just before halftime. At least, it looked that way for a few seconds. Just as soon as CBS was finished showing a few replays of the Jets’ pick, as is customary after big plays, the Jets literally gave the ball right back to the Bills immediately, courtesy of a fumble by Mark Sanchez.
We’re glad for those replays – without them, the comic effect of the back-to-back turnovers would have been diminished, if only slightly. But thanks to multiple camera angles, we can relive one mistake again and again…then feast on a delicious new plate of failure right away. Bless you, instant replay, and your amplification of human error.
