Anonymous Members Of The Jets Are Bashing Mark Sanchez And Asking For Peyton Manning

The New York Daily News spoke with “several key Jets players and members of the organization” about quarterback Mark Sanchez, and the picture they painted wasn’t a pretty one. The sources, who refused to be named, said the lack of internal pressure on Sanchez (backup QB Mark Brunell is 41, and was never a viable option to replace Sanchez on the field) made him “lazy” and “content.” Oh, and they want the team to go out and get Peyton Manning. “Come on. That’s a no-brainer,” a Jets source said. “If you have a chance to get a healthy 36-year-old Peyton Manning and you don’t do it, then you’re stupid.” [Daily News]
