Which Announcer Do NFL Players Hate More Than Any Other? This One!

Because they want to make everyone feel bad about themselves, Sports Illustrated has conducted a poll of NFL players in which they’re asked to name their least favorite commentators. I find Cris Collinsworth to be pretty good at what he does. Apparently, pro football players don’t share that sentiment.

The top 5 least-liked looks like this: 1. Collinsworth. 2. Chris Berman. 3. Warren Sapp. 4. Troy Aikman. 5. Ron Jaworski. Jon Gruden finishes 6th, and, as a testament to how universally disliked he is by everyone, Skip Bayless comes in at number 8, even though he doesn’t exclusively commentate on football.

If you’re actually on this list though, you probably shouldn’t take it too personally. When SI conducted a poll last week to determine NFL players’ favorite commentators, the top five were Gruden, Aikman, John Madden, Deion Sanders, and Berman. Gruden, Aikman, and Berman appeared somewhere on both lists, so this question could’ve just as easily been “Which Announcers Can NFL Players Actually Name?”
