Martellus Bennett Saved A Man’s Life Last Night, Is A Self-Proclaimed Superhero

If Giants tight end Martellus Bennett were a superhero, his alter ego would be “The Black Unicorn.” Well, after his team’s 38-10 drubbing of the Packers on Sunday Night Football, Bennett took leave and The Black Unicorn emerged from the shadows. As The Black Unicorn was giving his gloves to a kid on the railing over the tunnel to the locker room, a man leaned over and fell on Bennett, but the hero that he is, stayed to catch the man instead of shying away.
It was fight or flight for Bennett, and he confided with the media today that for a hero like him, there’s only really ever one choice (via NFL.com):
“I just did what any superhero would do: Saved his life,” Bennett said. “(Shoot). I’m like Scott Summers. You know who Scott Summers is? Cyclops off X-Men. … My first instinct was to step back, like, ‘Oh, (shoot),’ but I did the righteous thing … So I caught him and then slowly tried to pull him down, but then I tripped over somebody and we all fell.”
Now that’s a real hero, risking his body to save an innocent civilian. That’s the righteous thing, something only heroes like The Black Unicorn and Scott Summers would do. But he’s not totally wholesome. He does want something in return, after all.
“He owes me his first-born or something,” Bennett told USA Today of the fallen man. “Actually I don’t want that. Maybe a sandwich or something.”
One life for one sandwich. Seems like a fair trade to me. But wait! We’re not done here yet! Clearly, Bennett/Black Unicorn wouldn’t have a hero’s reputation if he hadn’t done this thing once or twice before. Or three times before. Or four times before. Or five times before. Hell, let’s just make it a half dozen, he’s a pretty heroic guy.
Martellus says he has saved 5 lives now after catching a fan who fell over railing trying to catch his gloves after game.

Ya know, he’s done it by sea, too.
Martellus says as certified life guard he has saved a few lives in the water as well. He likened himself to X-Men’s Cyclops

What happened to the fan after the incident? He was taken away from police on undisclosed charges. Where were you then, Black Unicorn?
