300-Pound NFL Prospect Gets Questioned About Open-Mouth Kissing His Brother

Maurkice Pouncey and his twin brother Mike are outstanding football players. They starred together at Florida, and now Maurkice is the Steelers’ starting center, while Mike will likely be taken in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft.

But even beyond football, the Pounceys share a tight bond, as many twin brothers do. And today, the duo appeared on ESPN’s First Take and talked about several aspects of their relationship. And while the two were pretty comfortable and good on TV for the most part, things got a little weird when talking about one time the twins got especially close.

That time: last year’s NFL Draft. When the Steelers took Maurkice, he was understandably elated, and Mike was one of the first people to congratulate him. But a strange thing happened when Mike greeted his newly-minuted NFL player brother: the brothers kissed on the lips. Host Dana Jacobson asked Maurkice about it, and he told a little joke. And that was it for the kissing subject, right?

Wrong. Jacobson then asked Mike if he wanted to comment at all on the kiss. Mike joked that “I’m gonna hug him last this year on draft day, so we don’t have that same problem.” And that was really, really it for the kissing subject, right? Jacobson:

“Anything special planned for your brother to top the kiss, since you’ll be hugging him last?”

Considering they’re, you know, brothers, it might be a little weird if they did something to “top” an open-mouth kiss (not that it sounded like they had any plans to). Video below, via ESPN2.
