The New York Post’s Predictably Great Brett Favre Cover

Last night Brett Favre returned to New York to play against the team with which he spent one tumultuous season: the Jets. This, on its own, would have provided a suitable subplot to a Monday Night Football game between two teams with Super Bowl aspirations.

But a little extra was added to the pot when Deadspin published a report that Favre had sent inappropriate voice mails and pictures of his penis to former Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger. As a result, the NFL has launched an investigation, and Favre faces a possible suspension.

As for the game itself? The Minnesota Vikings, Favre’s current team, lost to the Jets, 29-20.

OK, New York Post and Daily News: do your worst.
