NFL Ban On Purses Angers Women, Fancy Boys

#PurseyRiot!

In case you haven’t heard the shocking news, the NFL announced on Wednesday that it’s banning purses in all of its stadiums, effective immediately. The NFL statement:

“Fans will have only be allowed to bring in small clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12. Other options include a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (like Ziploc) or a small “clutch bag,” approximately the size of a hand. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

“Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size”

Who’s bringing luggage to a Jaguars-Chiefs game? Anyway, the NFL’s reasoning here is quite clear. They want to prevent terrorist-style inci they want to make money selling clear plastic NFL tote bags.

Women (and some men) are not amused.

John Wessling’s body, which had undergone severe trauma believed to be inflicted by fists and stiletto heels, was found dangling from the branches of a tree being pecked at by crows at 1:25 p.m. today.

A lot of women I know won’t go anywhere without a proper purse, and asking them to leave them behind, or transfer the contents to a clear plastic tote, is pretty much out of the question. They don’t want you seeing what’s in there, and frankly I don’t want to see it either. But rest assured everything in there is pretty much essential for human survival. If the NFL is trying to make the league more accessible to women, this is the PR goof of the decade so far.

well…let’s be honest. Some gals practically carry around the kitchen sink in their purses which is rather unnecessary. Doing with less may be a good thing to give people a chance to break away from the chains ;) And as far as being discreet, I can help gals with that…my patented, hands-free carrying case system can be your antidote…and no embarrassment needed. Stop on by to help yourself. http://www.portapocket.com (equally useful for guys, too, even though for different purposes…)
