NFL Injury Update: Ray Rice, Steven Jackson, Dennis Dixon, & More

Need to check last-minute NFL injuries? We’ve got you covered with some weekly last-minute maneuvering of our own – SportsGrid’s NFL injury update. Today’s will be highlighted by tons of RBs.

First things first: breathe a sigh of relief if you own Ray Rice, Steven Jackson, or Jahvid Best – all are active for their games today. Production still won’t be easy to come by for Rice, however, since he’s facing off against that vaunted Steelers defense.

And hey, how’s even MORE good running back news? The Chargers’ Ryan Mathews also looks like a full go for today’s game.

The news is much, much less rosy for Steelers quarterback Dennis Dixon, who’s out not just today, but for the year with a torn meniscus in his left knee.

In unsurprising but still-significant news (a bit less so from a fantasy perspective, but still), the Jets’ Darrelle Revis and Calvin Pace will not play today against the Bills. Jets center Nick Mangold, however, is active.

More bad news on the defensive side of the ball – the Giants’ Mathias Kiwanuka is out indefinitely. The Giants didn’t exactly need more bad news.

And a few more quick hits – the Colts will be working without quite a bit of talent, as Pierre Garcon, Bob Sanders, Anthony Gonzalez, and Donald Brown are all out today. And it’s a bad day for Pierres in general: the Saints’ Pierre Thomas is inactive today.

Let us know if we missed anyone, and we will scour the Internet for updates.
