Like A True Politician, President Obama Refuses To Pick A Super Bowl XLVI Winner

This afternoon, while joining ABC New’s Diane Sawyer, President Obama was asked a number of questions on the most pressing issues heading into the 2012 election. Such topics as the economy, foreign affairs and, yes, who will win the Super Bowl XLVI, the New England Patriots or the New York Giants?

Like any true politician, President Obama skirted making the tough decision between which group of sensitive constituents he’ll “turn his back on,” those in Massachusetts or those in the Tri-State Area.

To be fair to Mr. Obama, he does have a legitimate reason for not calling heads or tails here. There’s no disputing that the Chicago-native is actually a well-known Chicago Bears fan. Thus, as he told Sawyer, leading to his indecision.

“I can’t call it. I can’t call it,” Obama told ABC News’ Diane Sawyer in an exclusive interview. “When the [Chicago] Bears are not involved, I can’t make predictions because I will get into trouble. But both are great teams. Brady obviously one of the best quarterbacks we’ve ever seen. Eli Manning playing as well as he’s ever played, and it’s going to be a fun Super Bowl.”

Sure, he played it safe by not making a pick, but, then again, he did predict the New Orleans Saints would win the Super Bowl two years ago. He’s a flip-flopper… or he’s a smart politician, depending on your political lean.
