Were You At The Ravens Game Last Week? Then You Might Have Been Exposed To Rabies

Hey you. Yeah, you. Were you at last Friday’s Ravens/Lions exhibition game in Baltimore? Really? That’s fantastic. I bet it was a fun time. I bet you got to see Ray Rice and Ray Lewis and all of the Ravens’ starters play for a few series, and I bet you got to drink beers and enjoy the refreshing Maryland air on a nice August night. It really sounds like you had a sublime, relaxing evening enjoying America’s game.
Oh, and you may have also enjoyed all of the rabies you might have gotten.
Yes, according to Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, there may have been rabies-infested bats flying around M&T Bank Stadium.
A bat reportedly landed on someone in the 500 section of M & T Bank Stadium during the game. The bat was brushed off and flew away so it couldn’t be tested for rabies. But the concern comes from the bat touching the fan and possibly others seated nearby.
Anyone that was in the 500 section of the stadium and had contact with the bat is being told to call their local health department.
Hear that, section 500? If you start feeling generally weak, experiencing cerebral dysfunction, or having hallucinations (“Joe Flacco will finally become an elite starting quarterback! I saw it IN MY FEVER DREAM!”) then call your doctor ASAP.
Because you probably have rabies.
