Ray Lewis Is Coming To Motivate You, Too, England

We’re accustomed by now to seeing Ray Lewis give motivational speeches, whether they be to his own team or just whichever group he feels like firing up that day. The fact that Lewis has given so many of the speeches, to teams from so many different sports, made us think he must like giving them. But we probably wouldn’t have guessed that he’d travel across an ocean to get a team ready to run over a field of hot coal, through a rusty-nail-covered brick wall and swim through piranha-infested water on the other side.

Silly us. Of course Lewis would do that. And he did. He recently went out to London to talk to the Warriors, an American football team based in the city. Apparently, Lewis was won over by the coaches’ pitch (it will not surprise you to learn he gets many requests of this nature) and decided to head across the pond. And this time, he didn’t even need to say anything to bring the house down:

We’d say this is like if Lionel Messi came to talk to an American soccer team, except Messi doesn’t have quite the room-dominating presence of Lewis. And by that I mean I imagine the reception for him being more like it would be if this Messi walked into the room. Like you wouldn’t pet Messi’s hair? Well, not if Ray Lewis had just gotten finished talking to you. Then, you’d KNOCK THE SHIT OUT OF HIM.
